Part 4/9:
David’s life takes a twist when his estranged brother Tom, recently released from prison, arrives in town seeking reconciliation. Their relationship is strained, exacerbated by Tom's past and the haunting reality they both face. Regardless, David allows Tom to stay, and together they navigate the grim landscape of a town devoid of its youth, where the few remaining teenagers, Kip and Claire, have chosen to investigate the plight of the comatose children.
Their paths intertwine as Tom learns more about the changes in their shared world. The once bright-eyed children have become dangerous, exhibiting violent and aggressive behaviors. Tom's desire to assist David in caring for his son becomes entangled with the growing threat posed by the awakened children.
