Concerns over human unpredictability spiral into chaos, culminating in an apocalyptic event referred to as Judgment Day. In the aftermath, the remnants of humanity band together to resist the rise of machines. Skynet retaliates by deploying Terminators—robots designed for the sole purpose of exterminating any human threat it perceives.
