As the group heads out, excitement fills the air when they detect unusual flares on their computer screens. Without caution, Gerry, one of the students, speeds around a curve, and, in a moment of panic, nearly collides with oncoming traffic. Although Gerry manages to avoid a crash, another car is not as fortunate, teetering on the cliff's edge. In a desperate attempt to assist, Loretta approaches the stranded vehicle, only to be met with terror when she glimpses the occupants inside. Before she can react, the car plummets off the cliff, taking Loretta and the others down with it. Gerry, along with Danny and Amy, is left to grapple with the devastating loss of their friend.
