Immediately after the earthquake, a tsunami warning was issued. Yoshida, the plant manager, led his team into the only secured building as waves surged toward the power station. Tremors and aftershocks intensified the panic, resulting in hurried evacuations and chaos among the employees. The first signs of trouble were evident when pressure began dropping rapidly in Unit 1, and soon, the alarmingly high water levels in Unit 4 raised red flags amongst the workers.
