Part 2/9:
Fast forward to present-day Massachusetts, disgraced journalist Gerry arrives in a small town trying to regain his footing. While investigating claims about a cow marked by a cult, he stumbles upon a doll entwined with his town's dark history. The doll, discovered beneath a tree where whispers fill the air, bears a tag reading “February 31st, 1845.” The farmer suggests it is an object left by field workers as a symbol of good luck, but Gerry’s instincts tell him otherwise. Intent on securing a creepy story, he breaks the doll’s head, unknowingly igniting events that will change the town forever.
