Throughout his early training sessions, Marco learns just how literal his new team members can be. They tend to misinterpret his commands, which adds to his growing irritation. After a particularly difficult practice, Marco confronts Julio, the community center director. Julio's insight provides a pivotal moment for Marco, reminding him that the team's goal isn't necessarily to win but to feel a sense of belonging.
Turning Point
It is through a gradual process of self-reflection and engagement with his team that Marco begins to change. He starts to recognize the individual strengths of his players, such as Román, who shows promise on the court. Despite his previous tendencies to belittle the team, Marco begins to form connections and nurture their abilities.
