Meanwhile, Lorenzo's frantic evasion leads to an unexpected incident—he hides in a tree, only to fall and lose consciousness. A group of nuns discovers him and carries him to their church, mistaking him for a helpless mute and deaf gardener. As the nuns become infatuated with his appearance, humorous situations ensue as they attempt to take advantage of his condition, leading to a series of comedic yet risqué interactions.
As the plot thickens, Pia's friends urge her to disguise herself as a nun and seek refuge at the same church where Lorenzo is hiding. Intrigued by the elusive gardener, Pia starts watching him, unaware that Lorenzo's heart is entangled with two nuns, whom he meets in intimate settings, much to Pia's chagrin.
