In the eerie opening of this narrative, we are introduced to two high school girls, Tomoko and Misami, who are spending a sleepover at Tomoko's house. Their banter shifts to a local legend—the terrifying story of a mysterious videotape. This tape, said to curse the viewer, foretells their death precisely seven days after viewing it, with the curse cemented by a bone-chilling phone call. Tension rises when Tomoko reveals that she and her friends watched such a tape the previous week, leading her to fear a similar fate may await her.
