Part 2/7:
Lucas occupies a lower rank in the gang, working his way up with aspirations to shield his younger brother, Miguel, from a similar fate. His character embodies innocence overshadowed by the harsh realities of street life. Despite the fact that murder and brutality are part of his daily experiences, Lucas still retains a sense of morality, as demonstrated when he spares an elderly shopkeeper from violence.
Relationships and Conflict
Lucas's relationship with Rincon, the gang leader, is both complicated and pivotal. Rincon appears to favor Lucas, much to the chagrin of Jester, his right-hand man, who is envious of the trust placed in Lucas. This tension serves as a catalyst for the film's conflict.
