Part 2/8:
In the beginning, we meet the head toy designers at Heartland, Irwin and Larry, who are apprehensive about their direction when called into a meeting with the Globotech board. CEO Gil Mars expresses a keen interest in their latest projects, focusing on developing intelligent interactive toys.
Irwin nervously pitches the Gorgonites, peaceful beings led by Archer, whose goal is to collect information about Earth. Meanwhile, Larry quickly introduces the Commando Elite, an aggressive squadron of action figures overseen by Chip Hazard. To Irwin's dismay, Mars chooses the not-so-cuddly Gorgonites as the Commando Elite's adversaries, assigning a tight deadline for the project that both designers believe is impossible to meet. Despite their protests, they are compelled to proceed under pressure.
