Twenty years later, Edward Elric emerges as the titular Fullmetal Alchemist, chasing a priest who possesses a mysterious red stone capable of performing Alchemy without materials. As Edward displays his prowess, a hulking armored figure—revealed to be Alphonse—fights alongside him against fearsome creatures unleashed by the priest. The encounter, however, ends in failure as they both are apprehended by Colonel Mustang of the military, marking Edward’s continued pursuit for the ultimate Philosopher's Stone that could restore his brother’s body.
