Fernando's first step is to recruit Sebastian, a civil engineer struggling financially. Intrigued by the challenge, Sebastian sees potential in the plan but stresses the high costs involved, including tools and transportation. Fernando then approaches his friend de Bausa, who suggests bringing in Mario, a master thief known for his expertise in break-ins. Mario's disinterest initially puts a damper on Fernando's plans, but with the promise of a one-time score that could secure his financial freedom, he is brought on board.
