Part 2/7:

The film is set in the late 1940s, a time when apartheid was a harsh reality in South Africa. The apartheid system enforced strict racial segregation, offering white citizens privileges and opportunities while systematically oppressing the black population. In response to this grim oppression, the African National Congress (ANC) was formed, aiming to dismantle the discriminatory laws and restore harmony to the country.

The Protagonist's Arrest

Tim Jenkin, portrayed as a courageous yet naive protagonist, decides to take direct action against the apartheid regime. Armed with bags containing explosives, he and his accomplice, Steven Lee, execute a plan intended to scatter leaflets protesting the government's policies. However, their plot is foiled when they are apprehended by the police.
