The following day, Hutch grapples with the shocking news of Loomis and his friends' demise, which marks the beginning of a series of terrifying events. As Hutch attends the funeral, Loomis’ sister gives him her late brother's video games, to which he feels a blend of melancholy and nostalgia. Shortly thereafter, Hutch meets Sarah's friend Abigail, who offers support in light of the recent tragedy.
When Hutch reconciles with his grief, he confers with his friend Phineas, who shows an eagerness to delve into Stay Alive, much to Hutch’s reluctance. Despite Hutch’s reservations, the group gathers to play the foreboding game. Their innocence abruptly shatters as they unwittingly recite a sinister prayer that hints at grave consequences.
