Once among the cavemen, Arif discovered their fear of outsiders but managed to convince their leader, Dimi, of his non-threatening nature. However, trouble was brewing with another tribe, the Odroginians, led by the savage Karga, who regularly tormented Dimi’s people. Soon, Arif became embroiled in the conflict when he was selected as a target for Karga’s next raid.
Arif's ingenuity shone through when he used his knowledge of medicine to save a badly injured tribe member named Tasso. This act garnered respect and friendship, particularly from Tasso's father, Kalia, who had a troubled past filled with loss and regret tied to outsiders and inventions.
