Following their victory over the Titans, Zeus sought to populate the earth with humans to worship him and ensure his immortality through their prayers. As mortals began to inhabit the world, the dynamic between gods and humanity grew fraught with tension. Instead of gratitude, humans faced hardships, suffering, and increasingly questioned why the gods would allow such tribulations. It became clear that the humans, inspired by their pain, were edging towards rebellion against their celestial overseers—a turn of events that foreboded doom for mortals.
