In a post-apocalyptic vision of Earth, society grapples with the threat of an aggressive infectious virus. Isolated from the dangerous world outside, Helgoland emerges as the last bastion of safety, albeit with severe restrictions on resources and inhabitants. With the island only able to sustain 513 people, a ruthless ranking system is instituted.
