Arsenal is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Real Madrid for Ødegaard, following a productive round of discussions between the clubs and the player himself. While the talks have progressed well over the past 24 hours, there remains some work to finalize the deal. Interestingly, Real Madrid’s preference appears to be to send Ødegaard to a club outside of La Liga, effectively ruling out a return to Sociedad, who had hoped to re-sign him on loan. Instead, Sociedad is now turning their attention to finding a replacement for their striker, Willian José, who is heading to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
