The film opens in a bustling airport, where we meet Igor Polsky, who is excited to board a plane for a job opportunity he has long awaited. His loyal dog Palma accompanies him, secured in a cart. Their journey takes a tragic turn when Igor is unable to provide the necessary medical documentation required for Palma to board the flight. Despite his pleas for compassion from the flight attendant Nina, the situation becomes dire when a veterinarian informs him of Palma's ear infection.
In a heart-wrenching decision, Igor is forced to abandon Palma to board the flight. As the plane takes off, Palma desperately chases after it, creating a scene that catches the attention of the passengers and airport staff. Heartbroken, Igor leaves Palma behind, setting the stage for her struggle ahead.
