Part 4/9:
The Conflict with Rhesus
Upon arriving in Thrace, Hercules confronts the stark reality of the kingdom—the rampant poverty and the displaced refugees, painting a picture of desperation woven into the kingdom's fabric. The challenging dynamics emerge as he meets the manipulative Lord Cotys, who undermines the abilities of both Hercules and the warrior Atalanta, illustrating the entrenched patriarchy of the era.
Hercules accepts the mission to fight Rhesus, although the kingdom's forces are ill-prepared. As the story unfolds, the demigod engages in tactical maneuvers, constantly haunted by his past as he remembers his lost family through vivid hallucinations that blur the lines between reality and memory.
