Part 2/8:
As time passes, eerie sightings of strange creatures in the river start to arise, yet the local populace remains largely oblivious to the impending threat. Among them is Gangdu, the son of a grocery store owner who, due to his chronic laziness and tendency to sleep on the job, often frustrates his father, Heebong. Despite his shortcomings, Gangdu has a deep love for his daughter, who is often repulsed by his antics.
The family gathers to watch the national archery champion Namjoo compete. Suddenly, a horrifying news report breaks the calm, revealing that a man's body has been found near the river, as if partially devoured. This unsettling news is merely a precursor to chaos.
