Intervention of the Nanny
However, their enjoyment is short-lived as their parents hire a nanny named Linda to care for the children. The introduction of Linda complicates matters; initially viewed with suspicion, she gradually wins the children's trust. Tim, threatened by the prospect of losing their freedom, devises plans to rid themselves of Linda as well, enlisting the help of the Barnabys. But contrary to his expectations, Linda proves to be a nurturing figure, genuinely concerned for their wellbeing, especially when she learns about Ruth.
