Maya, a young girl dealing with the abandonment of her father, grows up harboring a profound resentment towards robots. Her mother, Molly, has an affinity for technology and often prioritizes her passion for machines over her relationship with her daughter. This creates a rift between them, leading Maya to develop anger management issues linked to her interactions with robots.
During a visit to the launch event for a new domestic robot model, Gen 6, Maya finds herself in a boring situation until she stumbles upon a soccer stadium within the building. Ignoring her mother's advice, Maya sneaks down to observe, which leads to chaos as she accidentally causes a security drone to crash and is subsequently chased by several robots.
