Although initially dismissing the sword's significance, Alex soon discovered its connection to the legend of King Arthur through a Latin inscription discovered with Betters. They decided to keep the sword hidden, unaware that word of its discovery reached Morgana, who awakened from her slumber, ready to reclaim what she believed was hers. Another entity, the wizard Merlin, drawn to the sword's power, appeared at the school disguised as a new student but faced mockery from the class, including Alex.
