Part 3/7:

The initial stages of Judy's journey are filled with hurdles—braving unpredictable weather and learning to navigate the roaring winds of the Andes. Collectively, the conditions pose a significant test as they make their way to Buitreras, a prime roosting spot for condors. Despite her extensive experience in hang-gliding, Judy confesses her fear of heights, which heightens the tension as she prepares for her maiden flight.

Upon taking to the skies, she quickly discovers that the weather is less than cooperative, with weak thermals preventing her from gaining altitude and limiting her time in the air. Consequently, she encounters an unexpected setback: a rough landing that leaves her glider damaged and her wrist injured.
