The Evolution of Amphibians

The ancestors of modern amphibians crawled from ancient swamps when conditions on Earth began to shift. These pioneering vertebrates adapted to walking on land and can thus be deemed the first to venture out of the aquatic realm. Over millions of years, their traits evolved significantly, leading to the various forms we see today. Amphibians have remained relatively unchanged since the Jurassic era, with many of them perfectly adapted to their unique niches in diverse ecosystems.
