The Abela Magistrates Court has recently announced the postponement of a crucial hearing in the assault case involving the well-known Nigerian artist, Portable, whose real name is Khib Okiola. This decision comes as part of a legal strategy to enhance the efficiency of the trial process by merging Portable's case with those of his employees.

Consolidation of Charges

During the court session, Senior State Counsel Tim Ored made a compelling request to consolidate the charges against Portable with those involving nine of his alleged co-conspirators. The rationale behind this move is to prevent the unnecessary waste of judicial resources that would arise from conducting separate trials.
