This distortion is particularly evident with the ADL's data collection, which purports to track anti-Semitic incidents. Many of these documented cases include protests for Palestinian rights, or even demonstrations organized by Jewish groups advocating for peace—genuine forms of civic engagement that are mischaracterized as anti-Semitic by the ADL. This practice of conflating criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism hampers the credibility of the ADL's reporting and, by extension, its perceived legitimacy as a civil rights watchdog.
