Despite the severity of the situation, Shawn expressed sympathy for Moose, emphasizing, "I don't blame Moose a bit." He recognized that the dog likely had a troubled past that might have contributed to the aggressive behavior exhibited during the attacks. “He really didn’t show any signs” of being dangerous, Shawn stated, describing Moose as affectionate and loving, especially around his kids.
A Difficult Decision: Moose's Future
In light of the attacks and the potential risk to his children, Shawn made the difficult decision to find Moose a new home. "I can't keep Moose in this house," he explained, acknowledging the safety concerns for his family. He is currently in talks with animal control and a no-kill shelter to determine the best course of action for Moose.
