The Anthropocene: A Reflection on Human Impact on Earth

The Earth, a unique sanctuary surrounded by a life-sustaining atmosphere, has seen significant shifts due to human interventions over thousands of years. More than 30,000 years ago, the advent of fire marked a pivotal moment for humanity, allowing for new sources of nutrition and the ability to inhabit cooler regions. This has prompted scientists to herald the current epoch as the Anthropocene, or the Age of Man, characterized by human-driven environmental changes.
