As April 1943 approached, all elements of the plan had been painstakingly assembled. The decision was made to drop the body off the coast of Huelva, Spain, a neutral territory with expected connections to German intelligence. They crafted the circumstances of Major Martin's death, attaching critical documents to a military briefcase, ensuring it would capture the attention of anyone who stumbled upon the body at sea.
On April 17, following approval from Churchill, the operation moved forward. The body was placed in a specially designed container and deposited from the submarine HMS Seraph, just before dawn on April 30.
