Their hardiness, social nature, and efficient breeding have allowed them to adapt to numerous climates. Quick recovery of lambs and rich milk production have showcased their vital role in human society.

Yet, the partnership remains complex. While sheepdogs assist in managing herds, and many rely on wool garments for warmth, wild sheep and goats face increasing threats to their habitats. Encroachment by human activity, hunting, and climate change have left many species endangered.
