The skies above this scenic coastline are alive with the graceful movements of migratory birds. Each spring, flocks return from warmer climates to take advantage of the plentiful food sources available along the shores. Species such as dunlins, bar-tailed godwits, and gray plovers flock here, using the rich resources to fuel their long journeys to northern breeding grounds. As these magnificent birds settle into their salt meadow habitats for the night, the coastal ecosystem comes alive with natural sounds.
