As springtime approaches, white-tailed eagles embark on their annual breeding cycle. After approximately five weeks of brooding, eaglets make their debut, bringing with them a new level of responsibility for their parents. Unlike adults, eaglets are reliant on their parents for food, demanding multiple feedings per day. This faithful partnership lasts a lifetime, with these birds typically remaining with the same mate for over 30 years.
The nurturing of these young eagles coincides with the blossoming of early spring flora, signaling a time of abundance not just for the eagles but for many species within this intricate ecosystem.
