Fast forward a decade, we see Mark grappling with the aftermath of his father's death. He contends with the stigma associated with his family's past, particularly due to Thomas's expulsion from school for bullying—an accusation that connects back to their father. As Mark celebrates his birthday, Thomas gifts him a family heirloom book, the "Chronicle," which reveals the chilling realities of another world, the Black Tower, inhabited by malevolent creatures and overseen by a demon named Griffin.
