As the flaming wreckage of Bolis crashes nearby, Andy grapples with the realization that they have landed in an unknown environment, one fraught with dangers that remain unexplored. His efforts to communicate with Leonard yield little help, and he grapples with feelings of isolation and despair as he begins his search for safety.

The Encounter with Dwayne

In the midst of his solitude, Andy discovers another survivor, Dwayne, who is also struggling to survive. Their short-lived camaraderie brings hope, though their situation is dire. Dwayne shares that help could take years, and as they consider heading toward the wreckage for supplies, tragedy strikes unexpectedly. Dwayne is seized by a monstrous creature, leaving Andy to confront the grim reality of his plight.
