Part 2/7:
In his new cell, Sam meets another inmate who is visibly frightened and avoids social interaction. This inmate's fear soon becomes apparent as Sam learns about Colin, a notorious criminal who terrorizes the prison alongside his gang. Observing the abuse directed toward his cellmate, Sam quickly becomes concerned for his own safety as the menacing presence of Colin looms large over the prison environment.
Sam finds some camaraderie among the inmates, particularly with Brandon, a seasoned gangster and weapons smuggler. Their initial interaction over a chess game hints at Sam's mental acuity, which impresses Brandon. However, the menacing dynamic in the prison escalates when Sam's cellmate, driven to despair by Colin's relentless bullying, attempts suicide.
