Meanwhile, a young boy named Aragon was out hunting in the woods when the glowing stone appeared before him. Unaware of its significance, Aragon took it home, intending to trade it for meat. However, the butcher, recognizing its value and danger, advised Aragon to dispose of it, warning that it could spell doom for their village.
In a twist of fate, when Aragon returned home, the stone began to move. From it hatched a beautiful dragon, revealing itself as Saphira, and marking Aragon as her chosen rider. As they began to bond, both shared a tragic connection of being orphans abandoned by their mothers. Their companionship blossomed, and through training, Saphira learned to fly, showcasing her ability to communicate with Aragon telepathically.
