As the story progresses, we are introduced to themes of supernatural elements and dark humor. Chang, while in hiding, encounters a farmer and his mischievous son in a rice field. Here humor intertwines with horror, as Chang's attempts to conceal the diamonds lead to catastrophic mishaps—Drain clogs and ghostly apparitions confront him, heightening the tension as he battles bad luck.
Back in the village, pH enlists the help of a man named Sue, who, unbeknownst to pH, is part of a criminal gang. Sue expresses a desire to switch sides, seeking redemption by wishing to help pH. However, the people of the village are involved in their own schemes, leading to further chaos as they battle their greed for the diamonds.
