Every night, Conor is haunted by nightmares that reflect his mother’s distressing ordeal. These dreams exacerbate his feelings of vulnerability and fear, forcing him to confront the darker aspects of his life. The culmination of his mother’s chemotherapy treatment and his parents’ divorce leaves Conor in a fragile emotional state, grappling with a sense of loss and uncertainty about the future.
To cope with his overwhelming emotions, Conor often doodles in class, using art as a temporary escape from the bitterness he feels inside. However, these creative outlets don't shield him from the bullying he faces at school, particularly from a relentless classmate who seems drawn to torment him further.
