However, as their journey unfolds, tragedy strikes—the smugglers decide to split the group, forcibly separating Nico from Mia. As Mia helplessly watches Nico being led away, she is left with the agonizing uncertainty of whether they will reunite. In the midst of violence and chaos, Mia's world becomes a living nightmare; the truck residents bear witness to brutal military suppressions, which culminate in a horrific scene where soldiers execute innocent women and children.
The truck eventually reaches another harbor, but as luck would have it, Mia discovers her phone is now too damaged for reliable communication with Nico. Mass panic ensues as Mia realizes they are scheduled to be shipped, encapsulated within the container of fate.
