As the Druids clung to their faith in a mythical warrior goddess, news of this atrocity reached Rome where Commander Paulinus reported to Emperor Nero. Concerned about the potential for uprising led by this goddess, Nero took drastic measures, enforcing a law that barred women from holding significant societal roles.
