Together, they undertake a treacherous mission to develop a virus aimed at neutralizing the futuristic technology before it can manifest its dangers.
However, both their endeavors and their relationship are continually hindered by the lurking shadow of the Institute and the ominous presence of Rebecca, who warns Alex against continuing to engage with Beth. As the tension builds, it becomes clear that the machinations of fate are against them.
