In Tomorrowland, Frank caught a glimpse of hope but was quickly brushed aside by Nicks, who did not believe in the potential of Frank's repair efforts on his jetpack. Instead, a significant leap in time transported the story to 2015, where teenage Casey was attempting to intervene at her father's NASA job site to prevent layoffs. Unbeknownst to her, Athena watched from the shadows and cleverly extracted Casey’s DNA, encoding it into another Tomorrowland pin.
