In a parallel storyline, Mandy is vigilant on Earth amidst chaos, fiercely resisting the panic sweeping the streets. Instead of accepting their escape from the aliens, she chooses to pray, reflecting larger themes of faith versus survival instinct. The narrative crescendos as a nuclear explosion devastates Manhattan while alien ships hover ominously above.
