Dr. Stint, now aligned with military efforts, informs them that Earth's germs have prevailed against the invaders, leading to their downfall. Consequently, Herbert learns that his mother has been rescued, beckoning the end of their horrifying adventure.
Though the film ends with a sense of brief triumph for humanity, an unsettling reminder materializes as a tentacle sprouts from one of the alien eggs, hinting at the uncertain future that lies ahead for Earth and its inhabitants.
