As Ken attempts to exchange Tang for a new model at a company that deals with robots, he faces rejection—Tang is not recognized as a valid model for exchange. At this crossroads, Ken watches Tang’s interactions with children, noting the robot's unusual capacity for curiosity and emotion—traits that challenge Ken's preconceived notions of artificial intelligence.
