Part 3/8:
The narrative transitions to Earth, where we meet Brian, a workshop owner creating AI-powered robots. One day, a girl named Olivia visits, seeking companionship in a robot. However, when she meets Charlie—a robot designed to care for the elderly—she decides against the purchase. Brian soon realizes that Charlie exhibits an independent consciousness and emotional intelligence, unlike his other models.
Faced with the troubling knowledge of Charlie's autonomy, Brian ultimately decides to dismantle him. In a poignant farewell, Charlie asks to die listening to his favorite song, and Brian, filled with regret, complies. This bittersweet narrative serves as a commentary on the ethical dilemmas surrounding AI and the potential emotional connections humans can form with machines.
