Part 2/9:
Meanwhile, we meet Lu Ming, a struggling property designer grappling with a lack of clients. His dreams of finding success in the competitive field remain unfulfilled. Interestingly, both Gu and Lu reside in the same building, seemingly occupying the same apartment but existing in parallel timelines—Gu in 2018 and Lu in 1999.
As the story unfolds, bizarre occurrences begin to transpire between their respective lives. Belongings from each apartment inexplicably swap places—vegetables washing up in bathtubs, clothing occupying cooking pots—all the while, both characters remain oblivious to the anomaly until they wake up one morning to find their apartments have merged into a vast shared space.
