Dancers today reflect on the journey of their craft and how far they’ve come. There exists a sense of pride in the incremental progress made within their community, despite acknowledging that many challenges still persist. In the past, dancers often found themselves at the "bottom of the food chain," facing stigmas and a lack of recognition for their art. However, this has changed markedly over time.
While dancers still feel they are not fully appreciated or respected in some circles, the acknowledgment of their efforts and the value placed on their skills is an encouraging development. This ongoing struggle for respect and recognition is paired with an unyielding desire to push further, striving for greater accomplishments within the field.
